The JLC year runs from August to May and the JLC just finished accepting applications for the 2009-2010 New Member class. New Member Interest Meetings will be held in Spring 2010. In the meantime, the JLC welcomes you to participate in some of our community events and fundraisers throughout the year, including Bargain Box in October and Holiday Preview and Holiday Tour of Homes in November/December.  "Being a member of the Junior League of Columbus challenged me to try new things. I am not comfortable speaking in front of a group. When I was asked to be the Provisional Chair, I said “yes” with the idea I would build my confidence as a public speaker. Through all of my challenges in the league, I continued to build my confidence, improve my leadership skills, and my public speaking skills. Through this confidence building, I became quite involved in the community and learned to love volunteering. | RFP Invite
The Junior League of Columbus is Requesting Future Partnerships (RFP) within the Columbus community. We are accepting proposals from nonprofit community organizations to jointly create a "Quick Impact" project, or advance an existing project, to be held between July 2009 and December 2009. A “Quick Impact” project maximizes volunteer and monetary resources, addresses a need within the Columbus community, occurs as a one-time event, and furthers the Junior League of Columbus’ focus on keeping children safe. Please note that 10 copies of your application are due to the address listed in the application no later than Friday, April 24, 2009. The application is available here.
