2018 Kelton House Gala Highlight

The 2018 Kelton House Gala raised over $21,000 for continuing the Kelton House mission of providing historical education and preserving decorative arts in Central Ohio. The Kelton House made the perfect venue for a 1920’s Speakeasy theme. This year’s guests dressed their best in flapper dresses and dapper suits.  The OSU Jazz trio set the mood with catchy tunes and the Candle Lab’s Mahogany scent filled the air. Guests enjoyed a summery bruschetta chicken, potatoes and green bean buffet from Two Caterers and the always sweet Nothing Bundt Cakes. The signature cocktail, a lime Moscow Mule, featured partners Middle West Spirits & OYO Vodka.

The Gala’s casino room featured four tables and made for lively game time. In addition to the always popular silent auction, filled with gift cards from local restaurants, brewery tours and spa visits, this year’s Gala included a Booze Barrel Raffle. The winner took home a whiskey barrel and an assortment of liquor valued at over $600! In words of this year’s Gala chair, Ashleigh Demas, “The weather was perfect and our guests had a blast with the theme. I would not have changed a thing! Thank you for all the hard work put in by the committee and to our sponsors to make this year’s Gala a roaring success.”
