Children in foster care are often forced to carry all of their belongings when they are removed from their home. Youth that have aged out of the foster care system, often end up homeless, carrying all of their belongings on their back. At the Junior League of Columbus, we want to help youth that aged out of the foster care system in Central Ohio.
Join the Junior League of Columbus in supporting Foster Care Awareness Month through the Little Black Bag Campaign from May 4-8th. The premise is simple – swap out your purse or hand bag for a little black trash bag to raise funds and awareness for those who store their belongings in a trash bag every day. All proceeds from the Little Black Bag Campaign go towards Bridging the G.A.P. – Junior League’s brand new signature project. Donations will be accepted at any time on the Junior League website.
